My life balancing between Israel and Germany

Assaf Levitin spent the first half of his life in Israel, while the second half took him to Germany. There he learned the German language, started a family and acquired German citizenship. He feels very much at home in Germany, almost as if it were his homeland.

Despite his successful integration in Germany, Assaf Levitin continues to live mentally and emotionally in his first home, Israel. He draws comparisons between the two places and considers both their beauty and their problems. In his programme, Assaf Levitin shares his feelings of having two homes – or perhaps neither – through his own poems and songs.

  • Assaf Levitin: vocals, saxophone and clarinet
