Kent Nagano significantly shaped the Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin (DSO) as Chief Conductor from 2000 to 2006 and was named Honorary Conductor for his outstanding contributions – an honor rarely bestowed in the orchestra's history.

Even after his tenure, Kent Nagano remains closely connected to the DSO.
