A still unknown gem in the middle of the city is the cemetery, which was inaugurated in 1802 and whose entire ensemble is a protected monument. The park-like grounds were designed by garden architect Carl Ferdinand Langhans.

In 1863, the neo-Gothic cemetery chapel was built in the clinker brick style popular at the time. In recent years, public funds for the preservation of historical monuments have been used to save numerous mausoleums and wall graves from decay.
In a tour the already completed works will be presented by the architect Petra Bosse. There will also be the rare opportunity to see the
to appreciate the results of monument preservation inside the mausoleums.
