Nationwide symposium

It's no secret: schools are not free from racism. Nevertheless, there is still a lack of relevant practical knowledge and effective skills for action.

A change in the German education system that takes a critical stance on racism is therefore long overdue. Let's close the education gap on racism – professionally, structurally and, above all, together!

On 27 November 2025, the project ‘Bildungslücke_Rassismus’ (Education Gap_Racism) invites you to Berlin's Schöneberg Town Hall.

A whole day of exchange, practical knowledge and networking for everyone who is committed to fighting racist discrimination in schools. We are bringing together people from schools, academia, politics, civil society and community organisations to create a space for encounters, collaboration and shared visions. You can look forward to exciting keynote speeches, a World Café and panel discussions.

  • When? Thursday, 27 November 2025, 11:00 a.m.–4:15 p.m. (open until 5 p.m.)
  • Where? Schöneberg Town Hall, John-F.-Kennedy-Platz 1, 10825 Berlin
  • Cost? Participation is free of charge.

Bildungslücke_Rassismus is implemented by LIFE Bildung Umwelt Chancengleichheit e.V. and funded by the Federal Government Commissioner for Migration, Refugees and Integration, who is also the Federal Government Commissioner for Anti-Racism.
