walking concert
Since it was founded in 2000, the Kammerakademie Potsdam (KAP) has been characterized by electrifying musical experiences, diverse programs and the unconditional desire for the highest artistic quality. With great passion and irrepressible curiosity, the orchestra of the state capital and house orchestra of the Nikolaisaal moves through four centuries of music history and has earned a reputation far beyond the city and state borders.
The renewed award of the OPUS Klassik as Orchestra of the Year 2022, various concert series for all age groups in Potsdam and Brandenburg, guest performances in the major concert halls in Germany and Europe, award-winning CD recordings and the first Orchestra Academy in Brandenburg, founded in 2018, testify to the success and innovative spirit of the orchestra.
Antonello Manacorda has been Principal Conductor and Artistic Director of the KAP since the 2010-11 season. He succeeded Michael Sanderling, Andrea Marcon and Sergio Azzolini.
