Festival orchestra play on New Year's Eve
For 20 years, the Festival Orchestra Berlin, a multicultural alliance of musicians from leading European orchestras, has been thrilling audiences with its Baroque, Viennese Classical and Romantic repertoire, complemented by musical rarities. The orchestra plays on old Italian instruments and thus guarantees an outstandingly beautiful sound.
Within the ensemble there are some "Bachians" who present the most beautiful Bach works in this New Year's Eve concert. Pieces by Pachelbel and Grieg as well as Mozart's Salzburg symphonies will also be heard with vitality and playfulness. In the second part, the orchestra will ring in the end of the year with Antonio Vivaldi's "Winter" from the Four Seasons.
