Concert Double: The event series for young artists at Zimmer 16. Double concerts featuring refreshing, diverse, and sometimes surprising music and performances.
This edition of Concert Double presents:
Orynge
Orynge is an eclectic indie band founded in Berlin in 2022. The group fuses diverse musical backgrounds into a distinctive sound. With extensive band and studio experience, they blend jazz, funk, and world music influences into a dynamic, genre-crossing style.
The band’s origin story is as unique as their sound: vocalist Ioana, who experiences synesthesia — perceiving music as colors — was inspired by the orange hue of the band’s early tracks, which ultimately gave Orynge its name.
Orynge’s music is a journey through colors, emotions, and atmospheres. With their debut songs resonating among fans of innovative indie music, the band is poised to carve out a unique place in the contemporary scene.
Andrea Timm
“Half a Whole Life” — her songs speak of womanhood, love, motherhood, joy, and sorrow. Deeply influenced by folk and country traditions, Andrea performs songs by Joan Baez and Bob Dylan alongside her own lyrics, guiding audiences with charm, power, and guaranteed goosebumps through an engaging and heartfelt program. Her music warmly recalls the great songwriting traditions spanning blues and pop.
Her current set includes songs by Hannes Wader, Zupfgeigenhansel, and Gerhard Schöne, carrying messages of hope for a peaceful world for all.
