Coming Back to Life - 25 years of the Center at Potsdamer Platz

From July 17 to August 17, 2025, the newly designed and modernized architectural ensemble in the heart of Berlin will be transformed into a vibrant world of experiences under the motto "Coming Back to Life."

Summer Festival 2025: Art, Music & Thrills at Potsdamer Platz

Since its opening in 2000, the Center am Potsdamer Platz has stood for innovation, change, and encounters. The major anniversary will be celebrated with a diverse festival program that attracts visitors from all over Berlin and beyond.


Program highlights at a glance:


"Tiergarten Creatures" – Art Meets Fantasy
Giant, colorful animal sculptures by renowned London artist Mr. Kaplin bring playful lightness and visual highlights to the center. The inflatable animals, up to 4.8 meters high, are a creative homage to the zoo and the Tiergarten and provide Instagram-worthy moments.



High Swing – Swinging at Dizzying Heights
From July 19th to 21st, the High Swing invites you to experience a real adrenaline rush under the iconic tent roof. Visitors can discover new perspectives of Berlin on a giant swing at dizzying heights.


House Running – Vertical Adventure
From July 26th to 28th, the center's facade descends vertically: House Running offers all the brave a spectacular athletic experience and breathtaking views of the capital.


25 Years of the Center at Potsdamer Platz – the anniversary festival transforms Berlin's center into a summer meeting place for all generations. Experience free art installations, music events, hands-on activities, and action sports – right in the heart of Berlin-Mitte!

Art, Music & Creativity for All Ages – Program Highlights in August 2025 at the Center at Potsdamer Platz

August 2: Animal Mask Workshop with Urban Art Kids

• Creative crafting fun for children ages 4 and up: Create imaginative animal masks from recycled materials – inspired by the large animal creatures in the center.
  
• 12–4 p.m., join at any time, free of charge & no registration required.
  

August 9: Urban Jungle Percussion Session with Bloco Explosão

• Experience energetic drum beats and a tropical vibe in the heart of Berlin. Short concerts every hour, followed by drumming!
  
• 12–4 p.m., free of charge & no registration required.
  

Every Wednesday: Dancing in the Open Air

• With Dolce Vita Dance & Swing Patrol: Salsa, Bachata, Swing & more on the open-air dance floor – including a workshop & free dancing.
  
• 6–10 p.m., free admission.
  

August 17: A Journey to the Stars – Broadway Under the Stars

• A grand closing evening with an international ensemble performing musical hits from Broadway and the West End.
  
• 7:30 p.m., free admission.
  

All events are free, open to all ages, and take place at the Center am Potsdamer Platz.
