That's admirable: Clutch have been making experimental metal in the same line-up since 1991, and have been successful at it. Maybe also because their influences come from many musical directions: Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Faith No More, Helmet, ZZ Top, Rage Against the Machine, Queens of the Stone Age, P-Funk, blues and rock'n'roll. It's not for purists, but their fans have followed all their evolutions and have never been disappointed.
Singer Neil Fallon, guitarist Tim Sult, bassist Dan Maines and drummer Jean-Paul Gaster can look back on their musical career with experience and confidence. Anyone who has been playing together for over 30 years has a certain routine. But routine doesn't mean boredom with Clutch. Tracing their development through all styles and varieties is like a trip through the rock cosmos of the past fifty years. At their performances, they can therefore draw from the full and their fans can look forward to a packed program.
