Guitar days in the St. Peter's Church May 10th - 18th: "Sensational instrumental music that knows no boundaries"
Clive Carroll (UK) made his musical debut at the age of two as a banjo-playing cowboy singing children's songs. He gained a 1st Class Honours Degree in Composition and Guitar at the famous Trinity College of Music in London. He has worked with guitar greats such as John Renbourn, John Williams, D'Gary, Tommy Emmanuel, Xuefei Yang and Ralph Towner.
Clive's masterful compositions draw influences from the delicate cadences of the Elizabethan lute classics, the imaginative eccentricity of Frank Zappa, visionary classical composers such as Bartok and Ligeti, as well as hints of jazz and delta blues!
Clive has released four solo albums and composed music for film and television. Most recently he released the monumental project "The Abbot - Clive Carroll plays the music of John Renbourn", a double album of solo works and ensemble interpretations, with 21 guest musicians and a medieval ensemble.
