Magical Christmas Lights and Festive Atmosphere at Charlottenburg Palace: The Popular Christmas Market Returns from November 24 to December 28, 2025. Sparkling lights in a majestic setting, a towering Christmas pyramid, fine handicrafts, festive gift ideas, mulled wine, roasted almonds, stollen – anticipation for the Advent season is growing. The beloved Christmas Market at Charlottenburg Palace will once again take place this year at Spandauer Damm, welcoming guests from November 24 to December 28, 2025.

In cooperation with the Prussian Palaces and Gardens Foundation Berlin-Brandenburg (SPSG), the event organizer Jens Schmidt GmbH from Velten will once again ensure unforgettable visits and special holiday moments.
“We’re very excited for our third year at this historic location in Charlottenburg,” says Jens Schmidt. “Together with the foundation, our team will do everything to create the most beautiful Christmas magic and a unique atmosphere to get everyone in the holiday spirit. We’re especially proud that our market is seen by many as the most beautiful Christmas market in Berlin.”
Whether in the festively decorated courtyard of the palace or on the square in front, more than 100 national and international artisans and vendors will once again offer lovingly crafted and traditionally made goods in 2025. Visitors can shop for Advent stars, pyramids, incense smokers, nativity accessories, wooden toys, Christmas decorations, ceramics, leather goods, jewelry, and silk items.
A wide variety of culinary delights will be available to please every palate — from chimney cake, gingerbread, roasted chestnuts, stuffed flatbread, potato pancakes, and layered cakes to suckling pig, flame-grilled salmon, venison burgers, and festive Christmas meals in the on-site restaurant featuring duck, goose, or game.
As night falls, the illuminated Charlottenburg Palace will be transformed by a magical video mapping show. Classic brass ensembles will play festive melodies to complete the holiday atmosphere. There will also be two children's carousels and a small Ferris wheel for young visitors.
The fact that the market can open this year – despite earlier concerns – is due to the ongoing construction boom, especially in the area of civil engineering. A Europe-wide tender for the planned large-scale construction work around the palace did not yield any economically feasible bids.
The Christmas Market will be open daily from November 24 to December 28, 2025:
Monday to Thursday from 1 PM to 10 PM,
Friday to Sunday from 12 PM to 10 PM.
The market will be closed on December 24.
Admission is free.
