Singing chansons and interpreting them is a way of telling many small stories: dramas, from tiny emotional stirrings to powerful outbursts, and of course, it's also about love. Because what would life be without it? Unthinkable!


There's a language with a long tradition of precisely this. The term has even been adopted into German: the chanson! Loes Snijders performs some of them.


A wonderful blend of lightness and intensity can be found in these chansons by Claude Nougaro, Barbara, Jacques Prévert, and Jacques Brel. And don't worry, there will also be a song by Kurt Weill! Many of the songs are in French, but will be presented in German by a Dutch woman with French charm.


Loes Snijders and Christian Jung have been working together for decades and have recorded several chanson programs.
