Das Orgelwerk III
"My organ is an orchestra" said the organist and composer César Franck (1822 - 1890) about his organ, which was built by the French organ builder Aristide Cavaillé-Coll. The sonorous sound of the basic voices, the poetry of the colors and the gravitas of a Cavaillé-Coll organ are quite similar to those of our large Sauer organ. Thus, the historic Sauer organ of the Berlin Cathedral is perfectly suited for the presentation of César Franck's organ works.

Therefore, on the 200th anniversary of the composer's birth, cathedral organist Andreas Sieling decided to present his complete organ works. In the series, Franck's oeuvre is presented in different visual axes.
