To celebrate Fête de la Musique, Carlos Groove Kitchen will bring international groove and African rhythms to the stage at ZIMMER 16.

After 27 years of musical experience, Carlos Dalelane founded his own band—true to the motto: “Let’s groove.” His goal is to get every single listener dancing to the rhythm and transport them to the coast of Africa. His unique style is a blend of African, funky, and jazzy influences, turning the songs into an emotional rollercoaster for the audience.

Carlos Dalelane sings in his native language, Ronga, and in Portuguese, and his dominant bass lines add another unmistakable touch. In his pieces, he incorporates two musical styles from his homeland in a modern way: “Majika,” a traditional dance from southern Mozambique, and “Marrabenta,” a dance named by the Portuguese.

Admission is free. A hat will be passed around.
