There are many stories hidden beneath the Berlin you know. Archaeologists have unearthed artifacts from times long past: a moose skeleton and mammoth bones from the Stone Age, a knight’s coffin bearing the golden cross of his order, and antique silver cutlery.
You’ll discover and explore these and much more at the Neues Museum and during a visit to the excavation site at Molkenmarkt in Berlin Mitte.
And what do these ancient artifacts have to do with you? Maybe there are archaeological finds in your neighborhood, too? In this workshop, you’ll design your own map of Berlin with different layers spanning from the past to the present.
