An evening of stand-up comedy and a DJ set
As an anesthesiologist, Anissa Loucif knows how to put people to sleep. With her stand-up comedy, she proves she can do the exact opposite. In her debut solo show, she delivers sharp, self-deprecating stories from her life as a Muslim woman, doctor and mother – tales that could only be written in Berlin.

From autumn 2025, Anissa Loucif will be touring Germany, Switzerland and Austria with her first solo show MACH NICHT SO AUF TEUER – and she’s making a special stop at BERLIN GLOBAL. In the Berlin exhibition at the Humboldt Forum, she presents exclusive excerpts from her programme.
After the show, DJ sherryaeri takes over with a genre-fluid set that guarantees to get you moving: from Rap Edits, Jersey Club and Baile Funk to Electro Chaabi – expect an energetic mix that will keep the dance floor alive.
Please note: The comedy performance will be held in German. Seating is available during the comedy performance (open seating). The DJ set is standing only.
PARTICIPANTS
Anissa Loucif is a comedian and anesthesiologist from Berlin. If the dictionary had an entry for “neither one thing nor the other”, her name might appear next to it: half Algerian, half German. Part-time doctor, part-time comedian.
Raised by Muslim parents and Christian grandparents, between Eid, Christmas and nudist beaches, she knows cultural chaos first-hand. Frustrating? Not for her. With her headscarf and a healthy dose of humour, she turns that chaos into comedy.
Anissa Loucif was a finalist in the NightWash Talent Award 2023, and her first stand-up videos quickly went viral. In 2024, she performed at the 1LIVE COMEDY-NACHT XXL in front of 14,000 people on a major arena stage and featured in the Female Stand-up Special of the Carolin Kebekus Show on ARD. A major interview followed in Stern magazine in January 2025.
Alongside regular performances at the Downstairs Comedy Club, NightWash, Falsch, aber lustig, and the LUCKY PUNCH Club, Anissa Loucif will be touring from autumn 2025 with her debut solo show MACH NICHT SO AUF TEUER.
DJ sherryaeri
Music and partying are deeply political for sherryaeri, who strives to spotlight artists and genres that deserve far more recognition than they typically receive—blending them with Arabic sounds. Identifying as genrefluid, sherryaeri guides us through a rich tapestry of styles, including (but not limited to) Rap Edits, Jersey Club, Baile Funk, and Electro Chaabi.
Through this eclectic mix, sherryaeri creates a sense of belonging and celebrates our multidimensional realities. Their sets have already captivated international audiences — from festivals like Splash in Germany, to clubs such as Yu Yu in Mexico City, and prestigious platforms like Boiler Room.
One thing is certain: sherryaeri’s sound is made for booty-shaking, stress release, and letting go of the pressures imposed by capitalist, patriarchal, white dominance.
