Learn the Cello from Scratch
Are you ready to trade your screen time for a few strings? Whether you’ve always dreamed of playing the cello or just want to take up an exciting new hobby—the Berlin Cello Academy is opening its doors for an energetic crash course for beginners!
The plan:
Five sessions to take you from “What on earth is this?” to playing your first pieces
Friday, September 4, 6:45–8:00 p.m., and Mondays, September 7, 14, 21, and 28, 6:45–8:00 p.m. each day
If you miss one or two sessions, that’s no problem—they film every lesson and post the recordings online, and Lee will set aside a few minutes before or after the next session to help you catch up.
They’ve made it really easy to get started—you don’t have to buy an instrument just to try it out! After you sign up, they’ll offer to rent a cello for you for a month and bring it to your first lesson, or they’ll give you a few recommendations for local violin shops where you can rent a cello yourself.
Minimum contract terms are typically at least 3 months.
Feel free to reach out if you have any questions!
And if you just want to try out the cello for a few minutes to make sure you like it—come to the “Let’s Talk and Play” event on August 30! They’ll refund the fee for this event if you sign up for this crash course afterward. “Let’s Talk and Play.”
There’s a registration deadline for this course—please register by midnight on September 1 at the latest. No refunds will be issued after September 5. Late registration may be possible in individual cases; just send an email to info@berlincelloacademy.com
- This course is offered exclusively in English. If you’d like to take a crash course in German, please let us know!
