Atafrava

Born out of their shared love of Afrobeats, the three friends founded their band in 2023. In their hybrid set, they combine DJ art with live elements such as vocals, saxophone and viola, creating a sound space from driving rhythms and energetically interconnected frequencies that invites you to dance, feel and connect.

As a collective, they want to remind people of multi-layered perceptions and ways of interacting and strengthen communal experiences.

Adama is the singer and producer of the trio; their first EP, which also features Valerie and Tara, was released in the year the band was founded. Valerie studies viola at the Franz Liszt University of Music in Weimar and has already worked with international artists such as Aron Ottignon, Pamela Badjogo and Martin Kohlstedt. Tara also studies there and has played with Alibeta, Natalie Greffel and Juliane Gamboa, among others; she released her first jazz album in 2024.
