Sergei Dreznin is not just an artist – he is a creative force of nature, a musical visionary and a boundary-pusher who is constantly seeking and finding the unexpected. As a concert pianist, award-winning composer and inspiring teacher, he brings music to life and creates stage worlds that captivate and move his audience.

He fascinates, surprises and unsettles – always with the aim of evoking profound emotional experiences.

German-speaking world. French, English and Russian versions followed. Thanks to his theatre experience, Sergei succeeded in breathing new life into the stagnant world of piano performance. He was a welcome guest at festivals such as Julian Rachlin and Friends, Annecy Classic and the Sviatoslav Richter Festival in Tarusa.

In the tradition of Franz Liszt, he produced numerous arrangements – amongst other things, he transformed Liszt’s works into virtuoso violin concertos, which were performed by Julian Rachlin at the Herbstgold Festival at Esterházy Castle. In 2025, Dreznin appeared as a pianist and composer at the Salzburg Festival alongside Dörte Lisewsky – with a tragic reading of *Babyn Yar. Voices*.
