On this tour, you'll learn about the importance of water and discover the hidden life within a single drop of water.

With its various small bodies of water and the river that gives it its name, Spreepark provides a habitat for many species of plants and animals. The differences between the ecosystems of still and flowing waters are particularly evident here.

On this guided tour, we’d like to explore these diverse bodies of water in and around Spreepark together. First, we’ll take a look at the Spree and learn some fascinating facts about rivers.

Then we’ll focus on one of the small standing bodies of water in the park. We’ll examine the water samples we’ve collected under a magnifying glass and discover just how much life is contained in a single drop of water.

By identifying these organisms, we can also draw conclusions about the ecological condition of the respective bodies of water.

Last but not least, we want to highlight why protecting our water bodies is so important and how each of us can help preserve these valuable habitats.
