MTS. 50 Years of the LP “Mut Tatendrang Schönheit.” Well, who would have thought it—after 50 years, the group is finally stopping by the KunstHofKöpenick!

In 1976, the first LP by the mobile song cabaret MTS, “Mut Tatendrang Schönheit,” was recorded at the “Kasseturm” student club in Weimar; due to printing issues, it wasn’t released until 1977. In addition, in 2026, founder, singer, and lyricist Thomas Schmitt will turn 75 and return to the stage with his longtime musical partner Frank Sültemeyer to celebrate these two anniversaries together with the audience. In addition to songs from the aforementioned LP, the gentlemen will perform other highlights from MTS’s more than fifty-year career.

Courage, drive, and beauty—or melody, tempo, and strength—or power, talent, and style? Or have they become grumpy, frail, and senile by now?

Everyone is excited and looking forward to these veterans of refined entertainment!
