51st Berlin Spring Festival
With free admission to the fairgrounds, guests can once again expect various highlights such as Germany's largest mobile ghost train with three floors, Daemonium, the Rock & Roll rollover swing, as well as the Wild Mouse roller coaster and the 50-meter-high Circle of Life Ferris wheel with enclosed, heated gondolas.
Adrenaline junkies will get their money's worth. Whether floating, flying, bouncing, swinging or rotating - Playball and Big Spin leave nothing to be desired. The Aviator carousel takes you to lofty heights, while in the U-3000 all visitors experience a virtual reality underwater world. Fast fun is guaranteed on the 35-meter-long Gaudi-Rutsch'n with several slides, and the Pirate Island white-water ride promises a splashy ride for the whole family. For younger guests, the Speedy roller coaster takes them on an adventurous journey.
"Many visitors have been coming to our folk festivals at the Central Festival Square for many years," says event manager Thomas Böttner, "They enjoy our colorful mix of changing attractions and classics that we have on site every time. Our fireworks are also particularly popular. That's why we'll have a high-altitude fireworks display on both the opening and closing weekends on Saturday evening."
The tried-and-true classics include Break Dance, Magic or XXL-Krake, which thrill their passengers with fast-paced maneuvers, as well as the bumper car for wild rides. And also the unrestrained whirling Pacific Rim thrills the visitors every year anew. In the Hyper X rollover swing, everyone can view the Spring Festival upside down and spend a few seconds in a state of weightlessness. Guests will also experience exhilarating moments in the Melody Star with wild lighting effects and breakneck speed.
In addition, visitors can look forward to many Volksfest delicacies: whether hearty barbecue, mushroom pan, burgers, fries or lángos - there is something for every taste! With spring-like temperatures, the desire for soft ice cream and slushies increases, these can be enjoyed between the ride in the pirate adventure and a game at the grab as a small snack in between. In addition, juicy chocolate fruits, waffles with a variety of toppings or crispy churros are tempting. While the rides quench the thirst for adventure, freshly tapped beer, refreshing cocktails and fragrant coffee specialties provide for the physical well-being.
Especially for the youngest visitors, the spring festival with its colorful lights is always a highlight. With Dumbo's fantastic flight, the little ones can fly high, and with the Kiddy Cars, the fairy wheel and the children's carousel, special attractions await the kids, making their visit to the fair unforgettable. There is also the opportunity for exciting duels, for example ball throwing or the popular Hoppegarten horse race. Those who want to prove their dexterity are in good hands at duck fishing or archery and can even take home coveted prizes, which are not only suitable as a nice souvenir of the Berlin Spring Festival, but above all stand for wonderful moments with friends and family.
