by and starring Lars Eidinger
‘Who’s there?’ is the question that opens William Shakespeare’s *Hamlet*. Then the man, as a representative, enters the stage and poses the fundamental question of to be or not to be.
When Hamlet holds up the skull of the late court jester Yorick, it is a gesture of self-reflection. The jester contemplates the jester.
‘Who’s there?’ is, following ‘Autistic Disco’ and ‘O Mensch’, the third volume in a trilogy of illustrated books centred on an exploration of the human condition. The new photographs were taken in locations including Tokyo, Kyoto, Shanghai, Istanbul, Berlin, London, Tehran, Sydney and Paris.
