The Komische Oper is currently staging performances at the nearby Schillertheater. Here, fans of lighter fare can also enjoy superb productions of rediscovered operettas. Berlin’s oldest opera house, the Staatsoper Unter den Linden, built in the mid-18th century, is situated in a very central location.
