German Choir Conducting Prize – Final Concert

Three conductors, all scholarship holders of the German Music Council’s Forum for Conducting, have been invited to showcase their skills with the RIAS Chamber Choir Berlin: Bobin Kim (choir assistant and choir coach, Semperoper Dresden), Benedikt Kantert (Artistic Director, TU Dresden University Choirs) and Nikolaas Schmeer (freelance conductor) will work with the ensemble on choral repertoire from the 16th to the 20th centuries and subsequently present it at the final concert.

An international jury will decide on the winner of the German Prize for Choral Conducting, which comes with a prize of 5,000 euros. In addition, the audience will once again have the opportunity to choose their favourite candidate and award them the Audience Prize.
