With his album “Dreams Don’t Make Noise” (2022), Lasse Matthiessen has repositioned himself. From a classic singer-songwriter with hints of Nick Drake, the Dane has evolved into an organic electro-indie-pop act, capturing both urban and intimate moods with his distinctive, deep voice.

Shimmering synths, electronic beats, and warm basslines define his sound—music that feels at home on the night streets of Europe. The release garnered widespread acclaim, including coverage in FAZE Mag, Tagesspiegel, radioeins, ByteFM, KALTBLUT Magazine, and kulturnews.

The new single “Night Train” continues this trajectory. It blends folk-infused sensibility with cinematic, electronically driven indie-pop, creating an atmosphere that is both delicate and haunting. Matthiessen describes the song as a moment between darkness and light—a place where intimacy arises briefly and truths are shared before they vanish with the dawn.

"Night Train" captures the feeling of fleeting intimacy: encounters in the shadows of the night that exist only for a moment. Melancholic, honest, and atmospheric, the song feels like a nocturnal journey through memories that linger long after the last note fades.
