Exactly 400 years ago, in February 1626, John Dowland died in London. He was one of the most important European musicians of the late Renaissance and early Baroque periods.
Harpist Luise Enzian and singer Tehila Nini Goldstein present an intimate late-night concert featuring vocal and instrumental works by John Dowland and other composers who influenced him. Even then, the melancholic quality of this music was celebrated, often bringing tears to the eyes. So please don't forget your tissues!
- Luise Enzian, harp | Tehila Nini Goldstein, mezzo-soprano
- Compositions by John Dowland, Luca Marenzio, Orlando di Lasso, and others
