Philipp Chernomor, born in 2010 into a family of musicians in Holzwickede near Dortmund, discovered his passion for the violin at the age of 5.
He received early instruction from renowned teachers such as Prof. Nathan Mendelssohn and Emir Imerov, principal of the Lower Rhine Symphony Orchestra. Masterclasses with star violinists such as Viktor Tretiakov, Maxim Vengerov, Dmitry Sitkovetsky, Boris Garlitsky, Andrey Baranov, and Kirill Troussov, among others, refined his skills.
Since 2021, Philipp Chernomor has been a junior student at the Folkwang University of the Arts, initially with Prof. Andrey Baranov and currently with Prof. Marc Bouchkov. Philipp Chernomor plays the violin by Carlo Tononi (Venice, 1727), on loan from the German Foundation for Music Life. A young soloist who arouses curiosity – and from whom we will hear much more.
