Future Tools Series
"Future Tools" is the current workshop series in which participants delve deeply into various technologies: Futurium provides training on the machines of the future and uses them to develop new ideas.
In this Open Lab evening, participants will explore the dream tool of all fans of three-dimensionality – the 3D printer! Are you interested in 3D printers and looking for a beginner's course on 3D printing? Then come to the Open Lab evening for a simple and clear introduction.
In this workshop, you will learn important basics for implementing your own 3D printing projects. Using a small lettering example, we will demonstrate how you can create your own 3D print designs with TinkerCAD and print them on the Ultimaker 2 with Cura. Join us and become a "digital maker" in no time.
The 3D printer and materials for experimentation are available free of charge on site. Bringing your own laptop is advantageous for developing your own design. But don't worry, we also have laptops on site.
A practical tip: Printing on the 3D printer takes a relatively long time. The focus is on gaining insight into the technology – therefore, they cannot promise that all visitors will be able to print something.
