Youthful enthusiasm and mature musicality
Under the baton of David Bruchez-Lalli, the musicians of the Zurich Youth Symphony Orchestra (JSOZ), considered one of the best youth symphony orchestras in Europe, will perform in the concert hall of Berlin's University of the Arts.
The programme includes works by W.A. Mozart (The Magic Flute – Overture), Avner Dorman (In Flux, with the percussion ensemble TrioColores as special guests) and Johannes Brahms (Symphony No. 1).
About the JSOZ
Founded in 1987 by renowned British conductor Howard Griffiths, the elite ensemble of the Zurich Conservatory Music School is the official junior music partner of the Zurich Tonhalle Orchestra and works closely with it.
The 90 orchestra members aged between 14 and 24 from twelve countries – in the talent promotion programme, in pre-college or already studying music – regularly give international guest performances, thrilling audiences with their outstanding playing.
‘Emotion combined with virtuosity – the JSOZ combines youthful fire with mature musicality. It's always fantastic to be there when the JSOZ performs a masterpiece!’ (conductor David Bruchez-Lalli)
The award-winning percussion ensemble TrioColores complements the impressive young ensemble with its energetic, multifaceted and innovative performance.
