The exhibition shows black and white photographs of tropical modernism by Jean Molitor. Inspired by European modernism, these impressive buildings were built around the globe in the 1930s and 1940s.

The exhibition takes the audience on a journey along the equator from South America via Africa to the Pacific and explains how these architectural forms got there?

Photographer Jean Molitor speaks with art historian Andreas Butter at the opening of the exhibition.

The exhibition can be seen in the foyer of FMP1 until February 11, 2024 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
