Working group: Museum and inclusion

At Haus Bastian, experts in the fields of museums and inclusion come together to exchange ideas.

The goal is to learn from one another, build connections, and try out practical ideas together.

Together, the participants explore inclusive educational work in museums.

The Museum and Inclusion Working Group has been led by Emanuele Valariano since May 2025. They cordially invite you to the new thematic session on “Intersectionality.” They aim to jointly develop new perspectives on inclusion in the context of museums, exhibitions, and cultural institutions.

Trans* Inclusion in the Cultural Sector – An Open Discussion on Best Practices, Networking, and Barriers

In this working group, following a brief introduction to best practices for the inclusion of trans* people in the cultural sector, they would like to discuss together: How can trans* people play a greater role in shaping the cultural sector? What is needed to make employers more attractive to trans* people? And what hurdles must be overcome in the process?

LCavaliero Mann (Artistic Director of SchwuZ until mid-2024; Hi BOSSI, CHEERS QUEERS, Tasty / Berlin) is a DJ, artist, event organizer, curator, and activist. Both on and off stage, he is a passionate advocate for queer and trans* people.

Through his agency "Haus of Us," founded in 2026, he offers consulting, booking, and event management services with a focus on diversity.
