In their new production THEIRLAND, developed for two different venues, FrauVonDa//storytelling in music focuses on basic patterns of human behaviour under conditions of permanent, latent or manifest fear. During the collective development process, they unfold a cartography of defence and survival strategies together with the guest performers - vocally, musically, intermedially.

THEIRLAND enters familiar and unfamiliar terrain at the same time: a vegetation of the drama and tragicomedy of primordial human behaviour. The venues become a playing field of everyday cerebral battles: the amygdala - the fear centre - sets neurologically determined processes in motion, demands quasi-dictatorial submission. The performers consciously strive against this - with creativity, wit and public spirit. Neo Hülcker, together with the artists' collective around Lotte Greschik, Claudia van Hasselt and Nicolas Wiese, develops a score of this permanent confrontation, Henry Wilde sets accents for possible ways out. The versatile performers Anna Clementi, Julia Mihaly and Claudia van Hasselt act and improvise between instinct and consciousness, between being at the mercy of others and acting on their own authority in the dictatorship of the seahorse visually designed by Nicolas Wiese.
