A theater evening with two plays and music by Hannes Zerbe
The Strangers – Morphs in the Land - A sequence of scenes based on Jaques Krämer’s “Les Étrangers”: On an expedition, the professor discovers the anthropomorph. His assistant Louis observes how the morphs fight against each other. The professor himself is more interested in their "active paws". The participants of the expedition offer some morphs protection and take them home with them. Others follow.
In some bizarre scenes, they show the different reactions to the presence of the morphs and their customs. Can you shop at a merchant who also serves morphs? What an uproar when a morph buys a stamp. And the chancellor can't remember. In some bizarre scenes, we show behavioral patterns and hold up a mirror. Who recognizes themselves in them?
The Strangers - For more compassion
A scene from William Shakespeare
Translated by Frank Günther with additional scenes from the "Strangers" production group
On May 1, 1517, the citizens of London have had enough. Violence escalates after they are beaten up by the strangers. The strangers are Huguenots from Belgium and Flanders, who were given protection in England by Henry VIII. Long-established citizens feel restricted because the customs and practices of the strangers are taking up more and more space in their daily lives and are restricting them in their own lives. Spokesman Lincoln calls on his fellow countrymen to take up arms. In a passionate speech, Thomas More tries to defuse violence.
