Volksbühne am Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz and Kontakt- und Beratungsstelle für Flüchtlinge und Migrant_innen e.V. (KuB) introduce a new monthly format to take place at Roter Salon for people in exile, people in transit as well as those who wish to stay, and those who’ve only just arrived in Germany.

KuB Café and Stage in Progress at Roter Salon:

Language learners and people seeking advice at KuB regularly express the wish to have more opportunities of establishing contacts with others to exchange information relevant for those new to Berlin, and, of course, practicing the new language.

So here it is,  the great opportunity to do just that – on a monthly basis at Roter Salon.

Various social activities will be planned together with the participants: language games, film screenings, making music together – the choice is ours.

All those interested in our project are welcome to join our get-together!

KuB is a contact point and advice centre for refugees and migrants — a self-organised, non-profit association based in Berlin-Kreuzberg offering free advice services on asylum rights, social benefits and rights of residence for people whose residence status is uncertain. Free initial consultation is provided in various languages, low-threshold assistance with mental health and social problems, and separate consultations for particularly vulnerable refugee women included.

KuB also offers courses to learn German aiming to lower language barriers, facilitate social participation and strengthen relationships. Main target groups are refugees and migrants who, for legal residence and other reasons, have no or only limited access to language courses.
