From 17 to 25 June, the Special Olympics World Games, the largest inclusive sporting event in the world, will take place in Berlin! International delegations from all over the world will come together in the German capital and turn Berlin and Germany into the centre of inclusion for 9 days in summer.
Be there when around 7,000 athletes with intellectual and multiple disabilities compete - in 25 sports plus one demonstration sport.
Around 300,000 guests are expected in Berlin.
For a whole week, the excitement of the sporting-inclusive World Festival and the unifying power of sport will be felt at first hand throughout the city:
Whether it's athletics in the Olympic Stadium, table tennis at Messe Berlin, beach volleyball in BeachMitte or the canoe race in Grünau.

Special Olympics World Games Berlin 2023 - Much more than a sports event
The Special Olympics Festival offers all families and those interested in sports and culture an extensive and varied supporting programme:
Experience inclusion in the heart of Berlin for nine days: at the free festival on Alexanderplatz at the Neptunbrunnen, you can expect an inclusive stage programme with concerts, dance and shows, as well as various workshops and activities for everyone. Strengthen yourself with delicious street food.
The Special Olympics Portrait Project pop-up exhibition invites you to view a variety of moving images of athletes at the Humboldt Forum from 10 June to 10 July 2023: Since the beginning of the Special Olympics in 2004, photographer Luca Siermann has been artistically exploring portraits of people, competitions, volunteers, celebrations and events.
The Humboldt Forum offers even more in June: an extensive inclusive programme for all culture enthusiasts.
