Miriam Feuersinger, soprano | Peter Barczi, violin and conductor

Anna Magdalena Bach was one of the best singers of her time, but as the wife of the Leipzig Thomaskantor she could no longer perform in public. In 1725 her husband Johann Sebastian Bach dedicated a notebook to her, in which "favorite works" were gradually entered.

Miriam Feuersinger, one of the leading Bach sopranos currently, is a guest in Spandau and will sing excerpts from the notebook as well as other compositions by Bach. The Capricornus Consort Basel will be there as an exquisite ensemble, enriching the evening with its unmistakable string sound.
