Vanilla: the opposite of kinky, a word used to describe someone with little inclinationto do anything spontaneous or exciting, either sexually, or in general everyday life.
Vanilla sex: sex that usually doesn't explore the edges of people's comfort zones the way kinky sex might. Vanilla sex is also a term for whatever is stereotypically normal in any given period of time or social circle.
In Vanilla three performers explore the relationship of pleasure, sexual desire and food to question normativity in sexual practices.
Through the intimate and vulnerable sharing of personal and fictional sex stories, the performance conducts a warm and soft exercise of imagination. In the process, the careful making and savoring of sauces on stage reflects on the care that is essential in sexual encounters. Sexuality can be everywhere and at any time.
Vanilla gently invites the audience to open their sexual fantasy box and to put together their own recipes.
