Five children are sent by their parents to a spa house in the mountains. They meticulously follow the absurd rules of the compulsory program in order to finally become "right" in every respect.

Meanwhile, at home in their nursery lives another child, who may not only replace them on a trial basis. Supposedly through a child's eyes, it's about love in late capitalism, body and gender norms, and our existential fear of being insufficient and interchangeable.

In the alpine spa house, the young spa guests give everything to finally fit in and be loved. Excesses in the form of cake-eating parties are only one peculiarity of the program that Doctor Bärfuss once set up. The latter himself, however, is conspicuous by his absence. Instead, little Robert has taken over and commands the children around.

And to spur them on, the mute, golden Sebastian lies on the divan - wonderfully thin, but dead. Touching him is supposed to bring happiness and improvement, but even that can't stop the doubt and despair that are slowly moving into the home: The thin Seymours have come to stay.

With six players, Glossy Pain collectively explores the absurd world of Bärfuss's Diet Camp, in which our own world is mirrored.
