As early as 1992, the legendary critic Manolo Liaño recognized him as the “guardian of a sanctuary” and celebrated him in peñas and on the grand stages of Jerez and Cádiz as a talent who would carry the essence of tradition into the modern era.
Today, he fulfills Liaño’s early vision and takes the archaic power of flamenco into compositional
realms, as he has already demonstrated on his album “Flamenco Fusión.”
A Dialogue of Virtuosos
In the unique acoustics of the Friedenskirche, de la Ana presents a project of rare emotional depth
Rubín de la Ana I Guitar & Vocals:
As the centerpiece of the evening, he embodies the rare
dual talent of guitarrero and cantaor. His playing combines technical brilliance with compositional depth, while his deep, throaty voice makes the original emotion of Jerez immediately palpable
Chiharu Bley (cello) brings the structural depth of flamenco to life through an exquisitely elegant dialogue with the guitar.
Lorena Caballero (Baile) translates the proud school of Jerez into a physical score of brilliant zapateado and overwhelming stage presence
