An installation radio play performance by kainkollektiv & the cosmic sisters

In RETURN OF THE KING'S DAUGHTER kainkollektiv & the cosmic sisters open up a sound space in the form of a walk-in radio play that wants to hear the stories and songs of those forgotten/erased "king's daughters" who have always influenced our white, male-dominated civilizational history since ancient times caused it to disappear.

In a completely acoustic-musical soundscape, the voices, narratives, personal reports & soundscapes of cultures that were erased by Western colonial history appear in an (Afro)futuristic & docu-fictional counter-journey through times and spaces.

Between pop & opera, indigenous chants & electro, artists from South Africa (ANNALYZER), Cameroon (ALIMA), Iran (9T ANTIOPE aka Sara Bigdeli Shamloo & Nima Aghiani) & Canada/Germany (Vanessa Chartrand Rodrigue) develop – the cosmic “sisters Medeas” – together “Songs of Future Care” and invite the listening audience in a 3D sound space to liquefy their own (cultural/national) echo chambers and to get to the sound bottom in an acoustic conjuration of ghosts and necromancy / exorcism of the question that always looms on the horizon at the beginning as well as in the progression of the colonial legacy: WHO OWNS HISTORY? Whose memory counts?
