A tour through the streets of KW's past. The KW Institute for Contemporary Art was founded in a former margarine factory in the early 1990s. Their history is inextricably linked to that of their neighborhood, the surrounding streets and its buildings.

To understand the historical connections of the KW, the tour takes you on a walk through boarded-up buildings, underground parking garages, distant domes over burial chambers, communist clubhouses and the courtyard of a collector who lives in a former nationalized factory. The view of a distant skyscraper overshadowing the Soviet-era relics on Alexanderplatz marks the end of this tour of the neighboring streets of KW.
