And that is a question of inner attitude,” says Prof. Grönemeyer, “I want to show people that they can do more for their health – and therefore their well-being – even with little effort.”
The 90-minute program is about the back and joints as well as nutrition and reducing stress - so it's a wide range, prepared and translated into understandable words. What helps me if my back hurts? What positive effects can a power nap (formerly called a “nap”) have? How can I strengthen my immune system? Prof. Grönemeyer, supported by small players, explains the connections and at the same time shows how small exercises for health can be easily integrated into everyday life. And very practical.
“People can, may and should take part,” says Prof. Grönemeyer. He wants to convey the fun of taking care of your own health. And at the same time strengthen self-motivation.
“Meditainment” – a combination of medicine and entertainment
In order to explain his heart's subject, medicine, and prepare the foundations for health education, Prof. Grönemeyer has always taken different paths. This also includes the “Fit to 100” series, which can best be described as “meditainment” – a combination of medicine and entertainment.
“With everything I do, I want to help create the conditions for a healthy and happy life,” he explains his motivation. He is committed to this on many levels.
He is a pioneer for the synthesis of high-tech conventional medicine and naturopathy. Someone who stands for the teamwork of the various medical disciplines as well as for the holistic perception of body, soul and spirit. As a person who thinks and acts in terms of health policy, he has repeatedly given impulses for the further development of medicine. With the term he coined, “world medicine,” he draws attention to the possibilities of a holistic art of healing.
