Conversation series on the challenges of the 21st century with Professor Harold James (Princeton University)
Based on James' current book Shocking Moments. A world history of inflation and globalization 1850 to today, they discuss the major economic questions of our time: about the relationship between the market economy and the state, the decision for growth or degrowth, the right economic means to combat climate change and global injustice, about more or less Globalization.
Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Harold James is a professor of history at Princeton University and professor of international politics at its School of Public and International Affairs. In the academic year 2023/2024, Harold James will also be a fellow at the Wissenschaftskolleg zu Berlin.
Ulrike Herrmann is a journalist and has been a business correspondent for the taz since 2006. She has also published numerous books on social and economic policy topics.
