The Philharmonie's Chamber Music Hall will become a vibrant meeting place for international accordion artistry in June 2026. Prizewinners of the International Competition ASTOR PIAZZOLLA® will present their interpretations of Piazzolla's music, as well as new compositions inspired by Piazzolla, which also won awards in the competition.

Celebrated soloists Ksenija Sidorova (accordion), Mario Stefano Pietrodarchi (bandoneon) and Luca Lucini (guitar) will perform compositions by Astor Piazzolla ("Aconcagua") and Roberto Di Marino ("Double Concerto") – accompanied by the Württemberg Chamber Orchestra Heilbronn under the direction of Miran Vaupotić.

The literary contribution comes from the multi-award-winning author María Cecilia Barbetta. In her extremely personal text, she explores Piazzolla's music from her perspective – as an Argentinian, as an immigrant, as a writer whose musicality is language.

The concert is part of the "Global Sound Stories – Accordion Meets Literature" series and creates a truly unique concert experience through the fusion of literature and music.

Admission: 13.00 euros to 40.00 euros (ticket price includes 1 euro system fee)

Organized by the Berlin State Music Council/Landesmusikrat Berlin e.V. in cooperation with Pantonale e.V.
