From 4 June 2027, the Pergamon Museum will reopen to the public following several years of extensive refurbishment.
Highlights of Berlin’s Museum Island, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, are once again accessible
The Pergamon Altar, a perennial favourite with the museum’s visitors, is finally on display to the public once again.
The Hellenistic architecture of the Collection of Classical Antiquities in the museum’s northern central building and the entire collection of the Museum of Islamic Art in the north wing are once again accessible to the public – as part of a completely redesigned permanent exhibition.
The Museum of the Ancient Near East is also displaying a selection of highlights in the front hall of the north wing.
- The reopening of the Pergamon Museum is part of the five-year programme of celebrations marking the 200th anniversary of Berlin’s Museum Island.
