Big game on a small stage based on motifs from Theodor Storm's story, accompanied by songs to the hook harp.

Big game on a small stage based on motifs from Theodor Storm's story, accompanied by songs to the hook harp.

In Theodor Storm's novella "Immensee", an aged poet and folk song collector remembers his childhood friend and childhood sweetheart Elisabeth. Moments of inwardness come to life in his mind's eye, as do missed opportunities. Between space and time, human closeness and alienation, the melancholic memory image of a lost love emerges.

The musician and storyteller Ulrike Richter reads the abridged novella, performs the paper play and sings verses by Theodor Storm to melodies from the 19th century, composed by, among others, Fanny Hensel, Franz Schubert, Robert Schumann and Edvard Grieg. She also plays the hook harp. An evening at the theater that will be remembered!

For adults and young people aged 12 and over.
