Bark, Fiber, Form
Paper is already nature: compressed, smoothed, transformed. In this workshop, we return to its origins and re-examine its malleability: Where does paper come from, and what becomes of it when we take it apart again?
Through tearing, layering, and overlapping, tree-like structures emerge on postcard-sized surfaces. Fragments come together to form new bark, condensed landscapes of fibers, edges, and spaces in between.
The resulting works appear as small reconstructions of nature; not depicted, but conceived from the material itself.
