Orchestra Benjamin Franklin; Conductor: Nora Füzi

The Benjamin Franklin Orchestra presents its symphonic winter program, including the 2nd Symphony in D Major Opus 43 by Finnish composer Jean Sibelius, his most popular work. The symphony develops vast musical landscapes from simple, nature-inspired motifs. In Finland, this piece has always been associated with the country's struggle for independence from Russia, and in this respect it has an oppressive topicality right now.
