An evening of Jewish song

Yiddish - poetic, pliable, full of the finest diminutives, "a language without land, without borders, a language that is not supported by any government, a language that has never been spoken by the powerful of this world, a language that is the expression of the millennial experience of the Jewish people" (Isaac Bashevis Singer).

The songs of the Jewish people - these are captivating stories, full of rich symbolism, beautiful prayers that helped people survive, sagas that make life colorful, fiery klezmer songs and endless unique motifs from the nigun. The song is the guardian angel of the Jewish people. You will also hear well-known melodies to poems by Itzik Manger, the lullaby "Shluf main Kind" - the only rhymed text by Scholem Alejchem, folk songs as well as their own compositions to poems by such authors as Leib Kwitko and Icyk Fefer.

Roksana Vikaluk - vocals, piano, looper, melodica, drum, bells, whistles

Wolfram DER Spyra - bow chime, realtime sampler, gong
